If you haven't been to Northwest Arkansas since the OZ Trails Bike Park opened in Bella Vista, you're in for something new: a lift-served bike park in a region that, until recently, was known almost entirely for cross-country singletrack. That's a real shift 🌻 downhill and gravity riders are now making the trip alongside the XC crowd.
What to actually expect
A chairlift-served park means you're not pedaling back up after every run, which changes the math on how much riding you can pack into a day. If you're coming from a lift-served park out west, the terrain here reads differently: more tree cover, tighter lines, and the kind of loam Ozark trail builders have earned a real reputation for. Go easy on the first run of the day and read the trail. Conditions and lines here reward familiarity more than raw speed.
Bring more layers than you think you'll need. Weather in the Ozarks changes fast, and being lift-served means you're exposed longer between runs than you would be pedaling.

Oakwood Oasis isn't at the bike park itself 🌻 nothing in Bentonville is, Bella Vista is its own short drive 🌻 but it's close enough that you're not burning your morning in the car, and it gives you the trail day amenities that hotel rooms near the park generally don't: bike storage, a place to actually clean your gear, and a kitchen worth cooking in after a long day.
