The NICA Central Regional Festival and Championships comes to Centennial Park in Fayetteville on November 7 and 8, 2026, with 12 high school mountain bike leagues from across the central U.S. Racing is for high school riders. Last year's event page said regional events are open to everyone to attend, so families, friends and fans can come along. Check the NICA site for the current schedule, since details can change.
Where to stay
Fayetteville is about 30 miles south of the house, roughly 35 to 40 minutes on I-49 without traffic. Plan on that drive each way. In return you get a quieter home base, a full kitchen for race-day breakfasts, and a place to wind down after a long day outside.
The house sleeps four, with a king bedroom and a queen bedroom and two bathrooms. That suits a rider with a parent or two, a small family, or a pair of coaches. A full team will need more rooms than we have, and we would rather tell you that up front.
Race-day planning
- Leave early. Fayetteville fills up on a big event weekend, and the drive is part of your morning.
- Pack layers. November mornings in Northwest Arkansas can be cold, and standing around a course is chillier than riding it.
- Bring a way to clean and store bikes. Our garage has bike storage, so gear stays dry and out of the car.
Ride near the house
If a rider wants an easy spin before or after race day, Slaughter Pen is a short ride from the house, and Tristan's Trail runs just past the trees behind it. Keep it light the day before a race.
More to do in the area
On a rest day, Crystal Bridges is about 3.5 miles from the house. If your trip lines up with a Razorback home game, our football weekend guide covers the same drive in more detail. Details on the house are on the Amenities page.
